I couldn't figure out why my laptop would arbitrarily stop charging its battery. So I ripped the back piece of plastic off (which was already cracked to begin with), looked at it carefully to figure out where it hooked onto the rest of the casing, gazed into the machine and wiggled the metal doohickey which connects the electric plug to the internal battery, then slammed all the pieces back together. I spent a few minutes jiggling everything around until it all snapped into place; I think that'll stop the casing from moving around too much and accidentally shoving the power cord out of it's charge position.

This is a metaphor for (my) life.

Next up, why is it so hard to get my cell phone properly inserted into the charger? And why did one of my computer speakers keep losing sound yesterday? Does anything work correctly around here?
